Give your bathroom a sleek, minimalist look with frameless glass shower doors from Archistruct Glass. The frameless look opens the space up, making it look brighter and feel larger – exactly what you want for a luxurious, spa-like retreat at home.

Whether you’re renovating an existing ensuite, upgrading your commercial property, or designing a luxury new build, your frameless shower glass is sure to add functionality and a serious wow factor.

Why Frameless Shower Doors?

Three words – No shower gunk. Need we say more? Frameless systems have fewer crevices for water and soap residue to collect, making them easier to clean and maintain. The lack of a frame also reduces visual barriers letting light flow freely through your bathroom. Precision cut glass and minimal hardware gives your shower a sophisticated look while keeping your shower area dry.

Channel Or No Channel?

We are believers that if you are installing a frameless shower that it should be just that, frameless. Very often, you’ll find installations being advertised as “frameless”, even when metal channel has been added to the fixed glass edges. Although, this makes the installation process faster, it still has a bulkier aesthetic appearance, and the channel adds another area for soap scum and mildew to gather and grow.

At Archistruct Glass, we use small glass clamps or just silicone depending on the installation, and where the door is in the opening, for a truly frameless look that’s easier to keep clean.

Glass Types And Thickness Options

The type of glass you choose plays a key role in the aesthetic of your shower. Frameless shower doors typically come in thicknesses ranging from ⅜ inch to ½ inch. Glass at the thicker end of the scale is typically a good idea if you have a large shower enclosure and want large doors. Thinner glass doors, on the other hand, are lighter, making them easy to open and close.

01

Clear Glass

Clear glass is the way to go when you want light to reach every corner, highlight tilework and beautiful fixtures.

02

Low-Iron Glass

Is actually clearer than clear glass as it doesn’t have that slight greenish tinge. However, it is slightly more expensive than regular, clear glass.

03

Frosted or Textured Glass

Is a great choice when you want to add privacy to your shower enclosure. You can choose the pattern of the texture or frosting to match your style.

We precision-temper all our glass panels for safety and cut to exact specifications to ensure a perfect, secure fit.

Hardware Finishes

Although these shower doors are frameless, they don’t lack hardware altogether. Hardware finishes come in different materials and colours so you can pick those that complement your existing bathroom fixtures

Chrome

Bright and timeless, chrome hardware works well with most design aesthetics. However, it requires regular cleaning to keep it spotless.

Brushed Nickel

Brushed nickel is warmer with a yellowish hue and a matte finish. It works well if you have traditional designs. It hides watermarks and fingerprints better than chrome.

Oil-Rubbed Bronze:

Bronze is more expensive than chrome and nickel hardware. It adds a rustic vibe to your bathroom and oodles of oomph.

Matte Black

Black hardware is trending. It’s a look for bathrooms that aren’t afraid to be bold.

Seamless Shower Doors: Design Matters

While you can have frameless shower doors installed on most shower enclosures, the type of shower door will depend on its design.

Corner Shower

A pivot or hinged door design works well for corner shower. It lets you maximise entry space and maintain a balanced, open layout while keeping water contained.

Alcove Shower

Cozy showers that are enclosed by walls on three sides benefit from frameless sliding door systems. It allows effortless entry into the shower without needing room for a swinging door.

Walk-In Shower

A walk-in layout offers the most flexibility. You can opt for a fixed glass panel only, or you can add a swinging door, or sliding door for a minimalist and functional aesthetic.
